Cape Cod has more than 40 courses and as many as 30 are accessible to the public — everything from a historic Scottish links to a pair of championship Brian Silva-designed courses.
“It’s a place where golf is as unpretentious as the residents in their well worn boat shoes and sun-faded shorts,” says Golf Advisor.

Highland Links, Truro
The Cape's oldest golf course and one of the most scenic, this nine-hole course is one of just two in the country that can be classified as a links layout. Perched high along windswept bluffs overlooking the Atlantic next to the vintage Cape Cod Light, the course features deep natural rough, Scotch broom, heath, non irrigated open fairways, and spectacular ocean views. Bring a lot of balls because you'll lose them in the thick mass of thorny shrubs that flank every fairway. Go to highlandlinkscapecod.com for rates and tee times.
