OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) — Mark Stone scored twice, Craig Anderson stopped 38 shots and the Ottawa Senators beat the Boston Bruins 3-1 Sunday.
Mika Zibanejad had the other goal and the Senators snapped a two-game losing streak.
Boston dropped its third straight. David Krejci had the Bruins’ goal, and Tuukka Rask made 19 saves.
Krejci suffered an undisclosed injury and did not play the third period.
The two teams meet again Tuesday night in Boston.
The Senators led 2-1 after 40 minutes despite being outshot 31-17. Anderson was perfect in the third period, and Stone sealed the victory with an empty-net goal with 54 seconds remaining.
Boston tied the game at the 7-minute mark of the second after a video review showed Krejci’s shot from in close had fully crossed the line.
Ottawa regained the lead late in the period when Zibanejad jumped on the rebound of Bobby Ryan’s shot.
