BOSTON (AP) — The Detroit Red Wings beat the Boston Bruins 3-1 last night. Thomas Jurco had a goal and an assist. Drew Miller and Andreas Athanasiou also scored for Detroit. Jimmy Howard made 31 saves. Loui Eriksson’s power-play goal with 51 seconds left in regulation accounted for Boston’s only score. Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask allowed three goals on 24 shots.
