ROXBURY — The monkey, as they say, is now off their backs.
Cape Cod Academy’s girls basketball team picked up its first win of the season last night on the road, thanks in large part to a pair of double-doubles turned in by junior Morgan Farber and
Toni Alberico.
The Seahawks defeated Rising Tide Charter School in Boston, quite handily, 44-19.
Alberico netted 12 points and tacked on 12 rebounds while Farber poured in a game-high 15 points and tore down an even 10 rebounds.
Junior captain Becca White was no slouch either, adding 8 points to the effort. Isabelle Lifton and Katherine Wetzel were the only other Seahawks to score, with 4 and 3 points, respectively.
Now at 1-2 on the season, Cape Cod Academy welcomes Holbrook to the Thomas Evans Gymnasium this afternoon at 4:00 pm.
