We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. Now we’re asking you and your family (friends, colleagues, etc) to considering sponsoring this family.

This 18 year old girl struggles with significant anxiety and has been in treatment for two or three years. She lives with her mom in an apartment in the Upper Cape, and is a first year college student who commutes to school. She works weekends to help out at home and for her education, but funds are extremely tight. Mom also works full time, but struggles to pay the bills and there is not enough to have any Christmas this year. Child #1, girl, age 18 desperately needs gift cards for fuel. She needs a warm pair of gloves, a car windshield scraper and gift cards to Dunks. A gift card to Amazon or Target for other necessities would be “amazing”. Parent #1, Mom needs gift cards for groceries, Stop & Shop or Market Basket would be great, and for gasoline, CVS, Walgreens or Home Goods.
