We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. This little boy, age 13, has been in treatment this year after his parents decided to split. We are working to support him as he takes on the blame for the ending of his parents’ marriage. Through therapy he is learning that his parents both love him very much and he is not to blame for their decisions. He is a very sweet, caring and sensitive kid who does well in school and is helpful at home. He would like his mom and sister to have a Merry Christmas, especially this first year.Child #1, boy, age 13 likes everything football, baseball and fishing. He is a solid kid, size Boys 16-18 or Men’s small. He could use some clothing like a flannel shirt, or long sleeved T’s or henley’s or a hooded sweatshirt for playing sports outside. He would love any outdoor sports equipment, some things for his tackle box, or a gift card to purchase a video game. He also likes to skate, and go sledding in the winter.Child #2, girl, age 16 is an athlete who plays soccer and loves clothes. Her brother thinks she would love an Ulta or Sephora gift card or a gift card to Pink.Parent #1Mom needs any gift cards to help with fuel, food or necessities like CVS, Walgreens, Kohl’s. Her son says mom loves Mary Lou’s coffee.
