We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. A 20-year-old college Junior is living between campus and home, working two jobs while completing her bachelor’s degree. While at home, she lives with her grandmother, “mom,” her aunt, and her three younger brothers (15, 13, 9). This family has been struggling to meet their financial needs and any help would be greatly appreciated by all. The family is truly supportive of one another another and this adult helps out with her younger siblings whenever she is back home to take the stress off of the adult caregivers within the home. Child #1: 20-year-old female college student loves fashion, makeup, and skin care; would love some bath products to help relax, could use some storage for organizing small spaces; Child #2: 15-year-old boy likes video games and basketball, fishing, bike riding and outdoor sports (basketball, ice skating); would love a pair of bowling shoes (size 10) and a regal movie theaters gift card; needs some new shirts (men’s small) and pants (men’s small). Child #3: 13-year-old boy likes outdoor sports (football, basketball, ice skating) and video games; would love Xbox series x sports games, a regal cinemas gift card, a football and/or basketball Child #4: 9-year-old boy loves Legos, hot wheels, basketball, and arts and crafts; would love some plushies, city lego sets, and/or arts and crafts materials/kits; needs some new shirts (size 10), pants that tie (size 10), and sneakers (size 4-4.5) Parent/guardian #1: Mom would appreciate grocery store gift cards and gas cards to help support feeding the family and transporting everyone to their destinations Parent/guardian #2: Aunt likes cooking/baking and doing crafts; would appreciate some arts and crafting materials for adults and candles/things to help support relaxation
