We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. Now we’re asking you and your family (friends, colleagues, etc) to considering sponsoring this family.

A 7-year-old boy and his single, adoptive mother are preparing for a second holiday season since the boy’s father passed away. The boy is an outgoing, friendly, and imaginative child who loves anything pirates, Star Wars, and Legos. His mother’s adult children are also living in the home and the family enjoys outings to the beach, Cape Cod baseball league games, and of course, any pirate related museums and events. The family would greatly appreciate any additional support that the community could provide this holiday season. Child #1: A 7 year old boy wishes for a kids metal detector (waterproof, if possible), a remote control sailboat, books/kits about gems & rocks, The Nugget sensory couch (in the color Surfside), any Imagine Station books (#20-30), kids MP3 player, and/or a sequin sensory weighted lap pad. He wears a size 7 in clothing and a size 2 in shoes. Adult Child #1: A 31 year old woman would love Stop and Shop, Amazon, and/or Visa giftcards. Adult Child #2: A 23 year old man would love Amazon and/or Visa gift cards. Parent/guardian #1: Mother would love Stop and Shop and/or Amazon giftcards.
