We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. This is a woman in long-term recovery who works very hard to provide her children with a stable, happy home while maintaining her recovery. She is kind and compassionate and is grateful for the second chance her recovery has afforded her. She and her husband have been struggling financially this year due to rising costs and are worried about the upcoming holidays. The family enjoys biking together and would love for a bike rack for the car and a telescope to start gaze together. Any help to make this a special holiday for this family would be greatly appreciated. Child #1: A 5-year-old female who would love to have a Barbie Dreamhouse or Peppa Pig Dream House, puzzles 100+ pieces, and educational toys. Child #2: An 18-year-old male who could use workout clothes (i.e. tanks tops, sweatpants) size Men’s medium and would like a gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods. Parent/guardian #1: A 41-year-old female who could use a crockpot or slow cooker, Gap gift card, Old Navy gift card, Visa gift card, Stop & Shop giftcards for food shopping.
