We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. A family of 5 with a mom and dad and 3 kids (1 adult ‘kid’ and 2 younger children). Mom and dad are motivated providers for their family and humble with accepting help. There is a 21 year old adult on the spectrum and recently transitioned into a program at CCCC’s. They family presents as very supportive of each other and morally driven by their faith and culture. Child #1: The 21 year old is requesting earpods for Samsung and a gift card to Best Buy or Target. He enjoys art and can always use blank canvases and a nice set of markers. Child #2: The 12 year old female could use some fluffy slippers, Sol De Janeiro 71 items or a gift card to Ulta, and a gift card to Target. Child #3: The 7 year old male would like any toys related to Super Mario and a hooded sweatshirt and joggers (little boys size 6). Parent/guardian #1: Mom is strong advocate for her son and family and could use a gift card for groceries and clothing related gift card for the kids (i.e. Old Navy, Marshalls). Also a nice pair of sneakers (women’s size 7) and a hooded sweatshirt (women’s XL) for herself. Parent/guardian #2: Dad could always use men’s hat and gloves and men’s black socks.
