We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. This mom of 4 has been putting herself through school while working part time. After losing her husband unexpectedly a few years ago, the family members have received treatment for grief and sadness. Mom has recently remarried and is expecting a new baby. They are now moving on as a strong family unit and starting a new beginning. Child #1: Baby girl on the way (Thanksgiving due date) in need of infant hats, diapers, wipes (Harvest brand), infant toys and socks. Child #2: Girl age 13 in need of size XS or Small in woman’s clothing. Favorite color is black and purple. Anything related to softball and cheerleading including Nike pro shorts. She needs winter boots and shoes in size woman’s 6-6.5. Would love press on nails, gift cards for nails at a salon, skin care products (Drunk Elephant, Glow recipe and Cerve as suggestions) and makeup (Elf, Nyx and Rare Beauty as suggestions). Child #3: Boy age 7 in need of size 7 clothes and size 3 shoe. Favorite color is green. He loves all things soccer, Pokemon, Super Heroes, basketball and Mr. Beast. He is in need of winter boots and a coat. Child #4: Boy age 13 is in need of clothes size 14 and shoes, Men’s size 6.5. He needs sweatpants, sweatshirts and plain shirts. Favorite color is blue and he loves all things basketball (he does not need a basketball) and New England sports teams. He is in need of winter boots. Child #5: Boy age 17, wears a size Men’s XL. He is in need of sweat shorts and sweatpants. He also loves all things basketball. In need of gift cards, especially to Amazon, Men’s body wash and deodorant. Parent/guardian #1: Mom in her 30’s whom is expecting. She is in need of size medium clothing, gift cards for groceries, gas and to Amazon. Parent/guardian #2: Stepdad/new dad in his 30’s is in need of gift cards for groceries, gas and Amazon as well as winter boots in men’s size 13.
