We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. 12-year-old female lives with mom, stepdad & brother while visiting father on weekends. 12-year-old loves music, makeup & being with friends & family. She struggles sometimes with social cues & expressing herself. Mom recently experienced a heart attack & thankfully was able to be seen medically & get proper support. This 12-year-old girl has also experienced surgery for the removal of possible cancerous spots on her throat. Stepdad works around the clock out of the home & mom attempts to keep the kids busy with sports & play dates. Any bit of extra help would really make this family’s year as it has been full of surgeries & hospital visits. Child #1: 12-year-old female would love some new sneakers & boots size 8. She’d love some winter clothes/sweatsuits in women’s adult small as well as a digital camera, Phillips electric lady shower, speedo vanquisher women’s goggles & camp-snap “screen-free”. She really wants an olaplex hair repair set as well as the olaplex blending oil. Gift cards she’s interested in would be for stores like Ulta, Sephora, AE Outfitters, Lululemon. Child #2: 7-year-old male would benefit from sneakers & boots kids’ size 12, winter clothes kids size small (6/7) & a winter jacket kids size medium. He would really love a full-size soccer goal, Lionel Messi jersey or set from Barcelona as well as a small wheely suitcase, a multisport helmet, &/or a FUJI Instax Film. Gift cards that he’d like include Roblox, Dicks Sporting Goods. Parent/guardian #1: 41-year-old mom would benefit from women’s small winter jacket, boots & shoes women’s size 6 & really needs loop quiet earplugs to cancel out overstimulation as well as snow goggles. She could also benefit from gift cards to GAP. Parent/guardian #2: 37-year-old stepdad would benefit from men’s sneakers or boots size 10.5 as well as large, tall shirts & a men’s XL winter jacket. He really needs Carhart winter beanie/hat & would love a countertop ice cube maker. Gift cards to Trader Joes, Banana Republic & Home Depot would be an amazing surprise as well. Pet: Toy poodle who is 17 years old & 10 lbs. would love a sweater or sweatshirt.
