UMass Boston Teams Up with 4Cs to Offer On-Cape RN to BS Nursing Program

WEST BARNSTABLE – UMass-Boston and Cape Cod Community College have teamed up to offer Cape-based nurses a chance to earn a bachelor’s degree without having to make the commute up to Boston.

The UMass-Boston Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Cape Cod Community College program is hosting an information session for registered nurses on Cape Cod later this month.

The session will take place on Tuesday, November 27 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the 4Cs Lorusso Applied Technology Building. On-site applications will be available, and representatives will be on hand to discuss both the face-to-face and fully online versions of the program.

The program is designed for the day-to-day, working nurse, offering strong individual support and advising from admission through graduation. The program takes place right at the Cape Cod Community College campus and offers a seamless transition from the 4Cs Associate Degree program to the UMass-Boston Bachelors program.

RN’s working for Cape Cod Health Care can apply for scholarship when completing courses in UMass-Boston RN-BS program.

The program is offered through the 4Cs Office of Advanced Studies and has celebrated five graduating classes. The newest cohort of students will begin in January 2019. Students can choose from two formats; a face-to-face (traditional classroom) model or fully online.

Graduates of the program have repeatedly praised its welcoming environment, academic quality, and program designed by those who understand the work demands of practicing nurses.
