Attorney Richard Barry of Cotuit is seeking to unseat Michael O’Keefe, the District Attorney, in the upcoming election on November 4.

Richard (Rick) Barry has lived in Cotuit for 25 years. He is married and he and his wife, Hope, have two children who attend Barnstable Public Schools.
Rick Barry was elected to the Barnstable Town Council in 1999 and served until 2011 when he had reached the town’s term limit of 12 years.
He has served as the President of the Cotuit Civic Association and the Chair of the Cotuit Fire District Prudential Committee.
He was an assistant district attorney in the early 1990s and has practiced law in the Cape and Islands courts for 24 years.
