HYANNIS – The summer season on the Cape is underway and those looking to get out on the water will have an opportunity with Sail Cape Cod.
The non-profit community sailing program is offering an expanded sailing lesson schedule for its youth, adult and adaptive programs through mid-August in Hyannis.
Youth sailing lessons are held in one-week lesson blocks from Monday through Friday at a cost of $125 per week. Scholarships are available based on financial need.
The adult classes are held weekday evenings for $30 per lesson and are held on an open registration basis. The lessons are designed to provide beginners with basic sailing skills.
An adaptive sailing program offers classes for youth and adults with physical, developmental and cognitive challenges.
The classes are taught by certified sailing instructors and are for students who are new to sailing or have some experience.
