YARMOUTH – Brewster State Rep. Tim Whelan will officially begin his campaign for re-election Wednesday night.
The two-term Republican will hold a campaign kickoff event at the Cape Cod Irish Village on Route 28 in Yarmouth. It runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Whelan represents the 1st Barnstable District, which includes Brewster, Dennis, most of Yarmouth, and a precinct in Barnstable.
Whelan has held the seat since 2014. At this point, no challengers have announced their candidacy for the position.
