HYANNIS – The showers held off on Sunday as thousands of people strolled Main St. in Hyannis for the 25th anniversary of the Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce’s Father’s Day Car Show.
Threatening skies didn’t deter drivers or spectators from flocking to the annual show.
Everything from Detroit muscle to vintage foreign cars were on display.
Some of the vehicles that garnered big crowds of onlookers included a rare Mclaren 570 and a jet black modified and customized Cadillac coupe.
Main St. was closed from Barnstable Rd. to Sea St. to accommodate the vehicles and crowds of people.
In honor of the anniversary year, concerts were held on Saturday and Sunday on the Village Green.
The event has become one of the largest annual car shows in New England.
