ATLANTA – New England Patriots great Ty Law was voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Saturday.
The cornerback finished his career with 53 interceptions, including one that he returned for a touchdown against the Rams to help the Pats win Super Bowl 36.
Law played for the Patriots from 1995-2004. He also spent time with the Jets, Chiefs and Broncos. He was a five-time Pro Bowler, a two-time All-Pro and a member of three Patriots Super Bowl teams.
“It’s surreal to get this honor while my former team is playing,” said Law, who will be on hand when the Patriots play the Rams for the title Sunday.
Tony Gonzalez, Ed Reed, Champ Bailey, and Kevin Mawae were other players elected this year.
The contributor nominees, Broncos owner Pat Bowlen and Cowboys and NFL executive Gil Brandt, each made it, as did senior Johnny Robinson, the defensive back who helped the Chiefs win Super Bowl 4.
