Nursing Scholarship for Upper Cape Students Offered by CCH

HYANNIS – High school students in Bourne, Falmouth, Sandwich or Mashpee can apply for the Susan M. Wing Nursing Scholarship Award.

The $1,000 scholarship is available for students who have been accepted to a university or college nursing degree program, and which have a demonstrated need for financial aid.

The award was created by Cape Cod Healthcare to honor former Falmouth Hospital chief operating officer Susan M. Wing, who retired in 2012.

Students must submit a complete scholarship application, available at 27 Park Street in Hyannis from Deborah Lauder.

They must also provide a copy of their high school transcript, two letters of reference and an essay on why they are pursuing a nursing career.

The deadline to apply is May 1^st.
