HYANNIS – St. John Paul II High school has announced a new Head Varsity Baseball Coach.
Ryan Soars gets the job and will begin immediately. Soars succeeds Mark Santos, who has coached the team since 2010 and will remain the school’s Athletic Director.
Soares Earned Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year honors in 2006. In 2010, he was named the George Mason University Student Athlete of the Year, CAA Player of the Year, the ECAC player of the year, and the Virginia.
He was drafted by the Detroit Tigers and played professionally until 2015.
