NANTUCKET – Nantucket Cottage Hospital has awarded $381,500 in grants via the Community Health Initiative to 13 nonprofit organizations.
The Community Health Initiative seeks to address health issues surrounding the island’s community, and funds are made available through private donations.
The awards are the third in a cycle of grants that will provide over $4 million for efforts to improve the health of Nantucket residents.
Grants were given to find solutions to addiction, women and children’s health, as well as access to housing and healthcare.
