Mid-Cape Home Centers Purchases Falmouth-Based Wood Lumber

DENNIS – Mid-Cape Home Centers has completed its purchase of Wood Lumber Company in Falmouth.

Both companies are in the lumber and building materials business.

“Our goal in transitioning the business, as we have officially reached retirement age, was for the Wood Lumber Company to remain a strong employer in Falmouth and a supplier of quality materials and service to builders and retail customers,” said Falmouth Lumber owner Dana Miskell.

“We feel that Mid-Cape is a perfect fit to maintain the quality products and service that Wood Lumber has always been known for.”

A statement said the sale would benefit customers with increased access to specialty products and services, including interior, exterior, and custom millwork.

“Mid-Cape is thrilled to partner with Wood Lumber. It allows us to grow our talented team of people and deepen our relationship with Falmouth and the neighboring communities of southeastern Massachusetts,” said Mid-Cape CEO Jeff Plank.

“We welcome Wood Lumber to the Mid-Cape family with open arms,” said Jack Stevenson, President of Mid-Cape Home Centers.

Mid-Cape already operates locations in South Dennis, Wellfleet, Orleans, Middleboro and Martha’s Vineyard.

Terms of the sale were not released.
