BUZZARDS BAY – Cadets at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy are set to graduate this weekend.
The school’s 174th commencement ceremony is planned for 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Parade Field at the Buzzards Bay campus.
This year’s commencement speaker is Steve Bolze, the President and CEO of GE Power. Bolze will receive an honorary Doctor of Public Administration degree by the school’s Board of Trustees.
Honorary degrees will also be awarded to Karin Orsel, the CEO of MF Shippping Group, and Richard Covel, a 1967 graduate and Trustee Chairman Emeritus.
