WELLFLEET – Efforts to restore full access to a popular Outer Cape beach have succeeded.
A September storm destroyed the stairs at Marconi Beach, forcing its closure to the public.
The Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore surpassed their $125,000 fundraising goal to rebuild the stairs.
Surplus funds will now support trail maintenance and boardwalk repairs across the National Seashore.
