FALMOUTH – Travelers and residents looking to head to the Islands with their vehicle next summer will be paying higher rates from the Steamship Authority.
Passenger vehicle fares and seasonal parking passes will increase to $110 for peak season, Monday through Friday travel for the 2024 season starting in the spring, according to officials.
On the weekend, the price will be $135.
The rate increases across all routes, as well as parking increases, are expected to bring in over $3 million dollars in more revenue. The change will help the ferry service stay afloat amid increasing maintenance costs, said officials.
The change only impacts vehicle travel. Walk-on passenger prices will remain the same as this past season.
