Lewis Bay Reopened For Shellfishing

YARMOUTH – The town of Yarmouth says Lewis Bay has been reopened for shellfishing.

The activity has been restricted for the last month because the shellfish were potentially contaminated with bacteria that causes food poisoning.

The green light to reopen was given last Thursday after the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries conducted a re-examination.
