HYANNIS – Independence House and the NAACP Cape Cod Chapter will host a special event next month in Dennis Port.
The two organizations will bring Andrea Kelly to Cape Cod for an intimate conversation and dinner on Wednesday, June 19 at 5:30 p.m. at The Sea View.
Kelly is a survivor, dancer, choreographer, business woman, mother and former of singer R. Kelly.
Kelly is an outspoken advocate for survivors of domestic violence and details her journey through the physical, verbal, mental and financial marital abuse she experienced.
She has produced a video memoir about her experiences titled, “I Have CRACKS, but I’m Not Broken!”
Kelly has donated proceeds from her video to the National Coalition of Domestic Violence and other domestic violence prevention organizations.
The event is free and includes a complimentary dinner in celebration of Juneteenth.
Seating for the conversation is limited. To register, visit independencehouse.org.
