HYANNIS – As the summer season closes out and the slow pace of Autumn approaches, area residents won’t have to venture far to find weekend entertainment.
Partnering for the second straight year, Independence House, Inc. and the Cape Cod Synagogue will host a concert at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center in an effort for the organizations to raise funds.
This year, the two organizations present Captain Fantastic – The Magic of Elton John. The concert will feature Walt Wise as Captain Fantastic, who will keep you on your feet with a series of Elton John hits, costume changes, smoke and lighting effects, and more surprises.
Wise will also transform into other musical legends throughout the night, with special guest appearance tributes featuring The Rascal Flats, Jimmy Buffet, Billy Joel and more.
Walt Wise has performed alongside big time bands such as the Beach Boys, The Commodores, The Oak Ridge Boys, Bo Diddly, Mickey Dolenz, Styx, and Lionel Richie. He’s received national accolades for performances at Walt Disney World, Caesars Palace, The U.S. Navy, Hard Rock Casino, and Universal Studios Orlando.
Captain Fantastic, The Magic of Elton John will take place on Saturday, October 20 at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center in Hyannis at 7:00pm.
