FALMOUTH – Falmouth Democrat Thomas Moakley, who is running for Vinny deMacedo’s Plymouth/Barnstable State Senate seat, will hold a holiday meet and greet later this month.
Moakley became the fourth Democrat to join the race when he announced his candidacy last month, after Becky Coletta of Pembroke, Plymouth Selectman John Mahoney, and Falmouth selectman Susan Moran.
Moakley said he is running to provide a new perspective to area-based issues such as the opioid crisis, diverse job opportunities, and infrastructure built for climate change.
“I think it’s time for my generation to stand up and fight for the future that we want,” said Moakley.
“I’m interested in, kind of, bringing a new generation of leadership to Beacon Hill.”
The holiday meet and greet will take place on Saturday, December 14th from 1 to 3 p.m. at Coonamessett Farm located at 277 Hatchville Road, East Falmouth.
