Dead Sperm Whale Washes Up on CuttyHunk Island

GOSNOLD – A necropsy is pending after a sperm whale washed ashore on Cuttyhunk Island Sunday.

The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) said they were unable to examine the 30-foot whale in detail yet, but they have satellite tagged it for later.

The whale was found alive by a walker but had died by the time federal officials and IFAW arrived.
