PROVINCETOWN-  The Federal Aviation Administration has granted Provincetown $2.97 million in Department of Transportation funding for the Provincetown Municipal Airport.

The money will be used for a wide range of surface rehabilitation work as well as major environmental mitigation to nearby marshlands.

Additional work will include the resurfacing of landing and taxiing ways and the repaving of adjoining surface roads, as well as the restoration of wetland, and coastal dunes, that would be impacted during airport improvements.

Funding was secured with the help of Congressman Bill Keating.
