WELLFLEET – Cape Cod parents are reminded that discounts are available for kids who attend local schools when they register for Mass Audubon’s natural history day camps in Wellfleet and Chatham.
Discounts of $40 a week for half-day sessions and $60 a week for full-day sessions are available for children enrolled in local schools.
Financial aid is also available for families with demonstrated economic need.
An additional price break is also available for families who also become Mass Audubon members at the family level or higher.
Day camp director Emily Wolfe says that Mass Audubon is committed to giving local kids the same opportunity to explore and learn about the Cape’s natural beauty and wildlife in the summer as children who come from off-Cape locations.
Creating a welcome environment where kids enjoy being outdoors, learn about the natural world around them and make friends, is paramount to Mass Audubon’s mission.
Wolfe says that campers have hands-on learning experiences with diamondback terrapins, painted turtles, horseshoe crabs and many more creatures.
At Mass Audubon day camps in South Wellfleet and Chatham, campers ages 4-13 enjoy weekly sessions, each with a special theme.
