MASHPEE – The Cape Cod Commission is now accepting public comments on conceptual improvements identified as part of the Mashpee Rotary Corridor Study.
Based on information learned at two public listening sessions held in April, staff from the Cape Cod Commission and the Town of Mashpee developed draft alternative concepts for the corridor.
On December 5th, more than 100 residents attended a pair of public meetings held at the Mashpee Public library and hosted by the Cape Cod Commission.
“The improvements range from short term improvements like paint to more large scale potential replacements of the rotary. These are based on feedback that we heard from the community early in the year,” said the Transportation Manager from the Cape Cod Commission Steven Tupper.
The Mashpee Rotary has been presented as a priority for investigation because of congestion and safety issues.
Comments will be accepted via email until December 23rd.
“We want to make sure it’s the right solution not only for Mashpee but for everybody who uses the Area”, said Tupper.
