HYANNIS – Balise Motors is donating the first month of payment from their unlimited car wash plans to Cape Kid Meals for the holiday season.
Cape Kids Meals is a charity devoted to providing food packages to children to have over the weekend.
The program is confidential and makes sure students have healthy meals to eat at home.
“The number of children facing food insecurity has been steadily rising in our communities. Not having access to healthy food can negatively impact a child physically, emotionally, and academically,” said Executive Director of Cape Kid Meals Tammy Leone in a statement from Balise.
“Our goal is to help alleviate hunger over the weekends so the children can return to school on Monday, ready to learn and engage.”
The donations are part of Balise’ “100 Years of Caring” initiative which aimed to donate over the holiday season to specific local charities in the community.
