The contemporary Tex-Mex restaurant in Hyannis will seat 309 patrons, including bar seating for 77. It will have two outdoor serving area. Hours of operation will be 11 a.m. to 12:45 a.m. daily.
Live entertainment will include a 272-square-foot dance floor, up to three performers and three amplified pieces, and karaoke, with rear patio live music available 4-8 p.m. Non-live entertainment will include one pool table, six TVs, and recorded music 4 p.m. to 12:45 a.m.

Ten Pin Eatery has officially open its doors for dining, play, and all things fun! The brand new 25,000 square-foot entertainment complex at Cape Cod Mall began welcoming customers at 3 PM Monday afternoon. Regular hours begin as of Tuesday.
Ten Pin Eatery is a joint venture between two long-time Cape Cod businesses – Chapin’s Restaurant Group and Ryan’s. It features a 300-seat restaurant and bar area, more than twenty TVs and several large projection screens, 8 lanes of ‘Ten Pin’ bowling, 3 additional private bowling lanes, a Cape Cod-themed laser tag arena, an arcade area and a VIP lounge for special events.

The decades-old Red Pheasant closed at the end of 2017 and will re-open spring 2018 under new ownership (Adam and Erica Dunn) as The Pheasant, serving “New England coastal farm-to-table fare” by executive chef Toby Hill (Pain D’Avignon, Brewster Fish House). the focus will be sustainable locally-sourced dining and gracious but approachable hospitality. This forthcoming brewery will likely open spring 2018; keep an eye on the website for updates. A checklist indicates that the brewery and taproom buildout is currently in progress, and Aquatic has already received its federal and state approvals, as well as its local zoning and pouring permits. The beer lineup may include a hefeweizen made with Jarrylo hops.

As announced last summer, Brandon Baltzley and Laura Higgins-Baltzley are making their Buffalo Jump pop-up permanent, taking over food operations at Coonamessett Farm in East Falmouth with a daytime cafe and multi-course fine dining several nights a week. The cafe will be open daily from 8AM to 3PM with breakfast and lunch, including a full menu for kids. Reservations are now open for dinner, which will be served on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays and will be “influenced by exploration, nostalgia, and history, using only the best ingredients found locally grown, fished, and foraged.” Dinners are BYOB, and diners are welcome to arrive early to explore the farm.
The Buffalo Jump is a cafe by day, serving healthy options for breakfast and lunch, and fine dining destination by night, featuring multi-course menus reflecting the chefs’ travels and the nostalgia of Cape Cod summers. The café is open seven days from 8AM-3PM. Dinner is reservation only and served Sunday-Tuesday.

Soprano’s Casino by the Sea

This sibling to Soprano’s Ristorante, an Italian restaurant in Mashpee, will be open year-round in the former Casino Wharf FX space on the water. The Mashpee location has been around since 2005. No exact opening date but Spring 2018 is anticipated.

After Land Ho! closed in mid-February, it quickly transitioned — under new ownership — to the Lanyard Bar and Grill. Ben Porter (who owns Viera in West Harwich) is behind the new venture, along with Matt Kelley and Lou Malzone, and they don’t intend to make too many changes to the food, price point, etc. at the iconic space, which was the 400 Club for a very long time before it was Land Ho! for the better part of the past decade. One change is the addition of some barbecue to the menu. There’s also fried seafood, sandwiches, tacos, appetizers such as stuffed quahogs and fried mac and cheese, and lots more.

The family-owned business moved its full-service Pineapple Caper Catering Company from Marstons Mills to Osterville and parks its food truck there as well. The Pineapple Caper Mobile Café has been serving gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches since 2013. A nice well-rounded menu for breakfast, brunch and lunch and, of course, a tony location on Main Street in Osterville practically next to the Library. Eat-in or take-out menu and online ordering.

The history of Liz’s Cafe, Anybody’s Bar Provincetown is rooted in well-loved markets and restaurants in Provincetown. Liz is Liz Lovati, of Angel Foods fame, so she knows something about good food. Liz has a section on her breakfast menu paying tribute to the old Tip For Tops’n restaurant. The Carreiro’s ran “Tips” on this very spot from about 1966 to 2013. The odd moniker stood for “Tip of the Cape for Tops in Service.” Tips was well-known for their breakfast specials.
The name Liz’s Cafe, Anybody’s Bar, reaches even farther back into Provincetown history. Ernest L. Carreiro, an early émigré from the Azores, ran Anybody’s Market at 31 Commercial Street. The market dated back to at least 1942. Liz’s Cafe, Anybody’s Bar opened in June 2017, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Anybody’s Bar serves top shelf, creative drinks at our beautiful dory bar. Nestled in a beautifully renovated railroad car in North Falmouth, the tiny Epic Oyster makes exquisitely good use of every inch. Sarah and Marc Warner, opened Epic Oyster, a raw bar and dinner restaurant that is all locals could have hoped for: excellent food, attentive wait staff, and owners who roll up their sleeves and dedicate themselves to details. We heard that reservations were critical, and driving up to Epic, we could see why: at 5 p.m., a queue had formed, waiting for the door to open.
