1/24 @ 7:30PM & 1/25 @ 3:30PM, Gloriæ Dei Cantores & Creare Symphonia in CONCERT, Church of the Transfiguration, Orleans – Escape the chill of winter and enjoy an evening of two masterpieces: Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons and J.S. Bach’s Sleepers Awake! Hear this concert performed in the “acoustical marvel” (American Record Guide) of the Church of the Transfiguration in Orleans, surrounded by fresco, mosaic, glass work, stone and bronze sculptures by local and international artists.

1/25 & 1/26, Cape & Islands Orchid Society Show, Emerald Resort & Hyport Conference Center – The theme for this year’s show is “Seaside Orchids!” Enjoy the creative display of hundreds of orchids at this annual exhibition, as well as educational talks, vendors, and a preview “dinner among the orchids” on Friday night (tickets for the dinner are sold separately.) 1/30, 5:30PM, 7th Annual Magic of Mentoring, Cape Cod Beer – January is National Mentoring Month, and BBBSCI is calling all Bigs (past and present), supporters, and friends to come celebrate all the volunteers who make a difference in the lives of local littles. Right now there are 34 girls and 45 boys looking for Bigs. And if you’re not a current volunteer, this is an opportunity to learn first hand about what’s involved. This event is FREE, thanks to the generous support of some community partners, and guests must be 21+. 1/31 – 2/2, Boatbuilders Show on Cape Cod, Hyport Conference Center – Whether you’re a boat owner, a boat buyer, or just interested in boats and boat building in general, this unique 3-day event gives you the opportunity to meet and talk with people who create and construct the beautiful boats that will be on display.
