Cape Cod Canal and Bridges
Taking sunset photos at the canal with the iconic bridges in the foreground is bound to give some spectacular results! No other spot on the Cape offers shots like these.
Provincetown Dunes
At the tip of Cape Cod you can witness some of the best sunsets period. The views are really something else and are worth the trip alone even if you don’t live or stay in Provincetown.
Rock Harbor
Park by the harbor and enjoy the great view of the boats while the sun sets. You can walk pretty far out when it is low tide. A sunset at Rock Harbor should not be missed!
Sandy Neck
Take a walk through the marsh trail or by the dunes, there are sure to be some fantastic sunset views to be had. Spending an evening at Sandy Neck is one of the best ways to watch the day fade to night.
Skaket Beach
With an unbelievable view across Cape Cod Bay, Skaket beach provides a prime location to take sunset photos. Taking a sunset photo at low tide at Skaket beach is truly something special!
Barnstable Harbor
Depending on where you take your photo at Barnstable Harbor, you can capture boats along with the sunset. With Sandy Neck in the distance Barnstable Harbor offers a nice location for photographs.
Gray’s Beach
There is a boardwalk at this beach which is perfect for taking sunset shots over the ocean. You can also capture some photos across the marsh with plenty of wildlife present in the area.
Hyannis Harbor
You can capture some really intimate shots of the harbor with a gorgeous sunset in the background at Hyannis Harbor. There are some truly stunning photos waiting to be taken off of the docks.
First Encounter Beach
Bay views and a salt marsh, along with plenty of room to walk out into the bay at low tide makes First Encounter Beach a fantastic choice to take some sunset photos.
Mayflower Beach
Mayflower beach is a fantastic location to catch a sunset in Dennis. Plan your visit when the tide is low and you’ll be back to walk for miles where ocean normally is. You can get some great shots of the sky over the water as the sun sets in the distance.
