HARWICH – With the retirement of Deputy Police Chief Tom Gagnon, several positions in the chain of command opened up.
Lieutenant Kevin Considine is the new Deputy Police Chief; Sergeant Adam Hutton was appointed Lieutenant; and Officer Amy Walinski was appointed sergeant. These promotions were recommended by Police Chief David Guillimette and approved by the Board of Selectmen. The ceremony happened at Police Headquarters on Sisson Road Friday afternoon. All three officers have master’s degree in criminal justice from UMASS, Curry College, and Ana Maria College. The trio of officers have a combined total of 60 years of service to the town of Harwich.
