HARWICH – A small patch of beach grass caught fire around 10 p.m. Monday at the end of Brooks Road. Harwich Fire and Rescue quickly put the fire down. According to a homeowner he heard fireworks and a vehicle leave the area just before the fire started. Drought conditions in Massachusetts can lead a fire this small into something big very quickly.
