Cape Cod Dolphin Stranding
WELLFLEET – Staff from the International Fund for Animal Welfare spent Tuesday morning rescuing 18 stranded Atlantic white-sided dolphins on the Outer Cape.
An IFAW spokeswoman said the dolphins were spotted in Blackfish Creek in Wellfleet and Drummer’s Cove.
The ten that survived were released at Herring Cove Beach in Provincetown.
Eight others died.
The first calls reporting the strandings came in around 5:30 a.m.
