WAREHAM – From Wareham Police: On Wednesday, December 26, at about 5:30 p.m. Wareham Police Officer James White responded to McDonald’s Restaurant for a report of a person trying to pass a counterfeit bill.
It was determined that the person at the restaurant had just received the bill from another individual. After an investigation, Brandon Stowell, 23, of New Bedford is being charged with, uttering of a counterfeit note. Mr. Stowell was not on the scene and is being summoned to court to answer to this charge.
Later, at about 7:30 p.m. a juvenile was arrested and charged with, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and vandalizing property. The arrest was made by Officers Nate Aronson and Eric Machado. Due to the age of the defendant no further information will be released with regard to this incident.
On Thursday, December 27, at 10:30 a.m. Officer George Chandler arrested David Moos, 55, of East Wareham at his home. Mr. Moos had two warrants for his arrest.
On Saturday, at about 1:45 p.m., Officer Zina Kelsch arrested, Kenneth Lounge, 38, of Plymouth, after a motor vehicle stop on the Cranberry Highway. Mr. Lounge is charged with operating after revocation of a driver’s license.
On Sunday morning at about 12:30 a.m. Officers Ryan Turner and Karl Baptiste arrested John McDonough, 62, of Wareham, at Chili’s Restaurant. Officers had been called there for a person causing a disturbance. Upon arrival of the officers, Mr. McDonough was verbally abusive and hostile. As a result he was placed in custody charged with, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.
On Monday, December 31, at 9:15 a.m., Officer George Chandler arrested Stephen Parece Jr., 32, of no certain address, in the parking lot of the Cranberry Plaza. He was placed into custody as a result of a warrant.
