ORLEANS – The old Orleans Police station at 90 South Orleans Road was demolished last week to make way for a new facility that will be constructed on the site.
The department moved to a temporary location at 139 Main Street in the old Legion property earlier this fall.
They will remain there for approximately 18 months while a new facility is built on the spot of the old station.
Orleans voters approved the $11.5 million project at Town Meeting and the ballot box earlier this year.
