CAPE COD – Torrential downpours associated with a frontal passage led to flooding across parts of Cape Cod early Wednesday afternoon. These photos were taken by a CWN reader along Route 6A in Yarmouth Port. An automated station near Barnstable reported 2.29 inches of rain had fallen. A ham radio operator in Mashpee reported a 57 MPH wind gust.
At 3:06 p.m., the National Weather Service received a report that 3.85 inches of rain had fallen in Hyannis.
By 6 p.m., 4.52 inches of rain had fallen in Hyannis.
