ORLEANS – Fire damaged the exterior of a home in Orleans Saturday afternoon. The fire on the deck of 16 Meg’s Lane broke out around 1:50 p.m.
It was confined to the deck and the exterior of the house with no extension inside. A civilian used a garden hose to contain the fire until firefighters arrived. Because of other incidents, an Eastham engine arrived first and doused the flames. Orleans units along with a Brewster crew arrived and overhauled the scene.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
