BOURNE – A woman suffered serious burns to her face after an oxygen tank reportedly exploded in Bourne sometime after 7:30 PM Friday evening. Rescuers rushed to a residence in the 200 block of Shore Road. There was no fire but the burns were serious enough to request a MedFlight but the victim was taken by ambulance to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. Further details were not immediately available.
