FALMOUTH – Falmouth Fire-Rescue reports that Wednesday evening just before 8 PM, crews from the Woods Hole and HQ fire stations were dispatched to a brush fire on Ram Island, a small island just off the coast of Woods Hole. Rescue Boat 1 was launched, and upon arrival, crews found 3 separate fires that had been started as a result of a single unattended camp fire. Utilizing their floating pump, the crews stretched a forestry line and the fires were knocked down in about 30 minutes.
