CHATHAM – Counterfeit $20.00 bills have surfaced in Chatham. Over the past weekend, three counterfeit bills were passed at two downtown businesses. The bills were passed on/about Sat June 20 and Sun June 21. They were detected later.
So far, all of the counterfeit bills display the same serial number: FI99469280A, Series 2006.
The only suspect information we have at this time, is possibly a 18-22 year old white male.
