Death investigation at Wellfleet motel

WELLFLEET – A person was found dead at a motel in Wellfleet Tuesday morning. Authorities responded to the Southfleet Motor Inn on Route 6 sometime before 8 AM. Wellfleet Police said it appears a medical condition was to blame. As a matter of protocol, State Police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s office were notified along with the State Medical Examiner’s office. There are reports the victim may have nearly drowned on Monday.
