BREWSTER – Chief Richard Koch is pleased to announce the Brewster Police Department’s 4th Certificate of Certification issued by the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission (MPAC). This process entails the agency to meet 159 standards that have been set by the MPAC. These standards are geared towards areas such as policy development, emergency response planning, training, communications, property and evidence handling, use of force, vehicular pursuit, prisoner transportation and holding facilities.
The assessment took place on Wednesday September 16, 2015 when three assessors and one moderator from the MPAC confirmed that Chief Koch and members of the Brewster Police Department were in compliance with MPAC Certification standards. The Brewster Police Department has been Certified by the MPAC since 2006 and credits this accomplishment with maintaining a high level of professionalism within the department allowing us to better serve our community.
