HYANNIS – A man was reportedly shot twice at the Cromwell Court apartments at 168 Barnstable Road shortly before midnight. The victim was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital reportedly suffering from two gunshot wounds. Barnstable Police are actively searching for the suspect or suspects.
From Barnstable Police: On Thursday March 6, 2025 just prior to midnight, Barnstable Police Officers responded to an apartment complex in Hyannis for a report of gunshots. One of the 911 callers informed dispatch that a victim had suffered a gunshot wound.
Upon arrival, patrol officers secured the scene and tended to the injured person. Hyannis Fire Department personnel then transported the 33-year-old male victim to Cape Cod Hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
A preliminary investigation by patrol officers and detectives revealed that this incident does not appear to be a random act of violence.
